Vision is a big portrait of the future that you paint. It involves the size of what you see and want to create in the future. Morningside’s future involves families, families of all shapes and sizes, families with young children and grandchildren that need a place to worship and grow. Sixty years ago, Morningside started with a vision to reach and disciple young families in the Morningside community. The community has grown. It now stretches beyond the Morningside community to a city, a county – several cities and several counties – full of new homes and young families. Families matter to God. They mattered in 1952, and they matter now. The time is now to make a big brush stroke on the portrait of Morningside’s future. Call that stroke, Family Matters. Family Matters is a stewardship emphasis that moves Morningside toward a vision: to be the place where Columbus worships. It’s the same vision as yesterday on a larger canvas for today. Today’s families seek the best for their children, the best ministry, the best programs, the best people and the best place. They seek a place designed for them, for their children and for their family. Family Matters needs you and we need you.
