On April 11th, Pastor Jonathan will begin the sermon series
#thefam – God’s Plan for Relationships. The sermons will be accompanied by weekly videos and a study/discussion guide. As part of the series, people will be encouraged to join a family group to watch the video and discuss. Groups will be in-person and on zoom. Sign-ups for the groups will start April 11th in the Gathering Room and on our website at morningsidebaptist.com/thefam. Please review the list of family groups and decide which one works best for you.

American Red Cross
Thank you for another successful blood drive on March 15th! On a goal of 25 units, we collected a total of 27 productive units and reached 108% of our target goal. The Power Red machines made a huge difference. There were 5 donors who gave a Power Red donation which counted as 10 units toward the goal. There were 3 donors who presented to donate that were not able to, which means we came very close to finishing with 30 units on the day. These 27 units collected can save up to 81 lives!! Thank you so much.

THANKFUL
Thanks to the hard work of several members of our Buildings & Grounds team, the preschool playground has a new sunshade to protect the children as they play.

our volunteers
Thank you to our volunteers. The week of April 18th is Volunteer Appreciation Week and we want to say 'thank you' to all of our church volunteers who serve in our various ministries here at Morningside. Your dedication and hard work help Morningside to be a vibrant, healthy church that ministers to our church body, our neighbors, and the community. If you are feeling led to serve in some capacity contact our Connections Ministry Director: Julie Ann Crane

House of Heroes
Redeeming the Block Campaign
House of Heroes has reached out to Morningside asking us to partner with them in their Redeeming the Block Campaign. This is an opportunity for us to donate one day of service to do minor home repairs for qualified veterans at no cost to them. House of Heroes provides all the necessary materials for repairs. Redeeming the Block will concentrate in the zip codes of 31907 and 31903 from now until June. Any age can help with adult supervision and all skill levels are needed. A project manager will be on-site to guide volunteers. If you are interested in being a part of this service opportunity, contact Julie Ann Crane at jacrane@morningsidebaptist.com. Once the interest level is determined, a date will be set for the work.
