why god?: new sermon series
Questioning God isn’t just normal, it’s necessary. God doesn’t just tolerate our questions, he welcomes them! If you’ve been taught to muffle your questions, bury your doubts, or silence your struggles, you were taught wrong. Even Jesus cried out from the cross, “My God, my God, why…?” Let Christ’s example and the teachings of Scripture give you confidence to approach God’s throne of grace with whatever questions you bring!
Join us this Sunday as we begin this new series together!

Elder Benevolence Fund
The Elders, in consultation with the Finance Committee, have established a Benevolence Fund to better serve the spiritual family at Morningside. This fund offers temporary financial assistance during times of hardship or crisis. When we are struggling, it's good to know that we won't need to worry about basic needs like food, clothing or shelter.
The Benevolence Fund, like other non-budgeted accounts, is not part of the general operating fund. As such, it is funded by freewill gifts and administered by the Elders under the oversight of the Pastor.
You can give to the Elder Benevolence Fund through the giving page of our website. After clicking on the "GIVING" tab, you can select "Elder Benevolence Fund". Or write "Elder Benevolence Fund" on your check's memo line when giving through the offering plate or in the church office. We invite you to prayerfully consider giving above your regular tithes and offerings.
