The Meaning of Baptism

This sermon from Acts 13 emphasized that the church is not just a building but God’s people, called to worship together, care for one another, and be sent into the world. Just as the early church sent Paul and Barnabas, we too are missionaries in our daily lives, carrying the gospel into workplaces, schools, and communities. Though challenges and failures may come, God redeems and empowers His people to shine the light of Christ and bring hope to a lost world.

The meaning of baptism

august 24, 2025

Text: Romans 6:1–10
Main Idea: In this passage, Paul reminds us that baptism is more than a symbol—it’s a declaration that our old life of sin has been buried with Christ and we now walk in the power of His resurrection. This message explores how baptism points to our union with Christ, the freedom we have from sin’s grip, and the call to live a new life marked by grace and obedience.
