At Morningside Baptist Church, our second value is that we are a _______________ people. Growing people are changing, or better said, transforming. God accepts us as we are but he doesn’t want us to stay unchanged because he wants better for us. Not all change is necessarily good so we desire the type of change that transforms us to be more like Jesus. That’s called transformational discipleship.

People are a lot like ________________, capable of growing and bearing fruit. That’s the kind of transformation we desire — bearing good fruit in the kingdom of God. Following Jesus is how we grow and become the people God wants us to be. We help each other grow to be like Jesus by connecting in groups to study God’s word, to pray and to share life together.
