Our world is broken. We see it everywhere we look, the signs that everything is not alright - that we are not alright. How did things get this way? What went wrong? If God is good, why is life so hard?

To everyone willing to listen, God is telling the story of this world, his world. The world may be broken - we may be broken - but the Hero of our story is hard at work making all things new. He will finish his work one day. His invitation to you is to let him work on you and in you, for you and through you, until this glorious final chapter comes to pass.

Our Morningside Kids is excited for the New Year! If you are a parent/guardian of a child in Outfitters (K-5th) we would love for you to serve! For current volunteers, please check your email for your schedule rotation reminder - updated schedules are posted in the Outfitters resource room as well. We are still in need of a Sunday School teacher for 2nd & 3rd grade.

The Weekday Preschool Ministry had a fantastic month full of festive events and activities! Each day had a unique and fun theme to encourage everyone to be in the joyous spirit of the season! Our children enjoyed creating holiday crafts, writing and mailing letters to Santa, as well as classroom celebrations. We finished out our month sharing our special Christmas program with our preschool families and friends! The children worked diligently practicing for the special day, and we were immensely blessed to have the opportunity to share that special message and program with everyone! We are excited and looking forward to our upcoming pre-registration session for the 2023-24 school year! Preschool slots will be available to current students and their families as well as Morningside Baptist Church members beginning in February. First, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who served during our Christmas Bazaar! We had 247 people give us their contact information so we can invite them to future events. We will have a Morningside neighborhood event each quarter which gives us opportunities to meet our neighbors and build relationships with them. Each event will be preceded by a neighborhood prayer walk and door hangers – a great way for you to go on mission in our very own neighborhood!

Secondly, the Global Missions Committee coordinated the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in December. Thank you to the Morningside congregation for your generous gifts. The construction teams are due to begin work at the Truth Spring 6th Avenue Project on January 6/7, 2023.
