From our senior Pastor

The gift of giving

What we believe about giving determines how we give. If we believe God—what he has said in his word—we will give generously, cheerfully, sacrificially. We will also give expectantly since God has promised in his word to reward those who give. When we give expecting him to fulfill his promises to us, we are demonstrating our faith that God really does reward his faithful people. His rewards—the gifts God gives to givers—are immense, they are rich, and they are eternal!

 – Pastor Jonathan

morningside tech team

A large part of our worship experience, both in person and live stream, is due to the people who volunteer with the Tech Team. From running sound boards and lights, to operating cameras, to producing announcement slides and videos, each member of the team enhances the worship services and our multimedia presence. We want to say thank you for volunteering your time and talents for the benefit of everyone who worships at Morningside. The members of the tech team are Brandon Cryar, Bruce Hutchens, Connor Martin, Eli Hardegree, Grant Martin, Hagan Hale, Zack Hamsley, Heather Watson, Jose Castellanos, Kimberly McGuire, Matt Watson, Matthew Wacter, Phil Martin, Sam Oliver, Lee Taylor, and Vern Waldrop. When you see these people, please express your thanks for what they do each week.

If you would like to volunteer to help on our tech team, please contact Matt Watson, 3minus1media@gmail.com.

Amahl and the Night Visitors

Join us on Saturday afternoon, November 13th at 4pm for an entertaining opportunity to prepare your heart for the Christ-child AND show your support to local young singers from the Schwob School of Music all at the same time!

The Schwob School of Music Opera Theatre Program will present Amahl and the Night Visitors in our sanctuary.  This one-act (50 minute) operatic production tells the imagined (and sometimes hilarious!) story of the Three Kings and their surprise overnight stay at the house of the young, crippled boy Amahl and his widowed mother. The production will be fully staged and costumed and is in English. A synopsis will be provided. It is child-friendly for elementary ages and up.

As per CSU Voice Faculty policy, singers must be masked. But we hope you will support them nonetheless in their efforts to perform under conditions they have no power to control.

Whatsoever you do for the least of these you do unto me. Matt. 25:40

Donations of non-perishable food items are also accepted at this performance to stock the
Columbus State University Food Pantry.
