The best gifts can't be bought in stores or laid under trees. The very best gifts, in fact, can't be found anywhere on earth. Yet these gifts are in the highest demand - not one of us can live without them! They are Hope, Peace, Joy, Love! Like all of Heaven's gifts, they can be received but never taken. And absolutely everything Heaven has to offer can only be found in Jesus Christ! 

The Children's Ministry has a few things going on for December. First and foremost, there will be NO childcare on Christmas Day.
NextGen will be hosting a Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 21st from 6:00-7:30 in place of Breakout for all participants. We are still in need of monetary donations to help provide food for Breakout. 
During the Christmas Eve service, our K-5 Morningside Kids will be leading us in worship with a couple of songs. 
Lastly, the Children's Ministry is in need of a Sunday School teacher for 2nd & 3rd grade. If interested, please call Baraba Port at the church office. 

Each Wednesday we have an exciting time of worship, games, and fun with our children in the Family Ministry Center! Bring your child each Wednesday at 6:00 - 7:30 pm to be a part. Happy Holidays from the Weekday Preschool Ministry! We have lots of exciting news to share with you this holiday season! We are eagerly looking forward to our Christmas Program: Oh What a Special Night! coming up on December 15th at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary with a “Happy Birthday Jesus” reception to follow. Our preschool students have been practicing very diligently for this wonderful event to share with our preschool families during this joyous season! We are pleased to also announce that Andrea Salado will now be our Community Relations Specialist for the Weekday Preschool! Andrea will be responsible for enrollment outreach to our community as well as enriching the experience for our current preschool families. We are excited to welcome Andrea in this new role for the preschool as we focus on extending more opportunities to families with young children! The Global Missions Committee was involved in three recent mission activities. Morningside members packed and shipped 287 boxes of toys for needy children as part of Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan's Purse). The parents of Morningside Preschool were provided with juice and muffins on the morning of November 17th. They were invited to the mini-festival on November 20th, and several showed up and enjoyed a great time with their families.  The Lottie Moon Christmas offering emphasis has begun (with the Post Office in the gathering room), and the week of prayer cards and envelopes were distributed on November 27th. Join us in an emphasis on international mission support through the Lottie Moon offering.
