VBS 2022

The Morningside NEXTGEN Ministry is establishing a distinct approach to child protection and safety by launching our Safe Shepherding initiative. God has a unique love and concern for children and vulnerable people, so establishing a safe environment for families to worship, grow, fellowship, and play is one of our most crucial callings as a church.

As a first step to launching Safe Shepherding, the NEXTGEN Ministry is hosting an initial training seminar that is mandatory for all adults who serve in preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school ministry. The seminar will feature discussion of our child protection policies, abuse awareness and prevention training, and safety preparedness planning.
 
Please plan to attend one of the following upcoming seminar opportunities (each seminar is identical and each individual is only required to attend one):
Sunday, June 5 at 9 am in the NEXTGEN Center (during Bible Fellowship)
Sunday, June 12 at 9 am in the NEXTGEN Center (during Bible Fellowship)
Sunday, June 12 at 12 pm in the NEXTGEN Center (lunch provided, RSVP to Pastor Zach)
If you plan to attend the training after church on June 12, please RSVP to zach@morningsidebaptist.com so we can plan for lunch and any childcare needs.

Members of MBC and other local churches traveled to Camp Hawkins in North Georgia during the week of May 13th . These men did repair work on several structures on the campus to prepare for summer camp. Camp Hawkins is a mission of the Georgia Baptist Association where special needs children can learn about Jesus at a fun and safe camp. This group of men was led by Bob Jordan.
